The COMANDANTE C40 LAB Series Hammerhead® is built for coffee lovers looking to explore bold, juicy flavour profiles with exceptional grind precision. Developed in COMANDANTE’s Bavarian Burr Lab, the Hammerhead® features a distinctive Hexagonal Block Blade geometry, created to handle the size and density of larger beans such as Pacamara.

Years of refinement to the burr geometry, teeth and angles have transformed Hammerhead® into a versatile, high-performance burr suitable for a wide range of coffee types. COMANDANTE describes its flavour character as dense and juicy, with defined fruit clarity and structured sweetness.

At the heart of the grinder is COMANDANTE’s Nitro Rex® martensitic high-performance stainless steel, produced in the Alpine region and refined using an electroflux-based purification process. The steel is engineered for high wear resistance, exceptional edge retention, corrosion resistance and hardness, while its precision micro-polished surface supports taste neutrality.
